Think the Sun is Big? Think Again.

A little perspective. Our nearest star, the sun, is tiny compared to a Hyper Giant like VY Canis Majoris. VY Canis Majoris, viewable in the southern hemisphere, is more than a billion miles wide! That makes its diameter roughly the same as Jupiter’s orbit! Take a look at this video or the infographics that follow to see what I mean.
